Free CPR classes held at Mesa Library
Learn how to save a life this month. The Mesa Fire Department will be offering free classes to learn Hands-Only CPR. Hands-Only CPR is CPR without mouth-to-mouth breaths. The classes will be held at the following library branches:
Monday, Feb. 13, 2012
· Main Library, 64 E. First Street, Saguaro Room
· 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and possibly 2 p.m. if needed.
Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2012
· Red Mountain Library, 635 N. Power Road.
· 11 a.m. & 1 p.m.
Thursday, Feb. 16, 2012
· Dobson Ranch Library, 2425 S. Dobson Road, Meeting Room.
· 11 a.m.
Nationally less than eight-percent of people who suffer cardiac arrest outside the hospital survive. In Mesa, when CPR is performed prior to fire crews arriving on scene the survival rates are over sixty-percent.
These are free classes no registration is required. Classes will be taught by Mesa Fire personnel.
