Vehicle:         2001 Chevrolet Tahoe

 

On February 4^th, 2012, shortly after 10:00 p.m., a 2001 Chevrolet Tahoe was stopped for a traffic violation in the area of 83^rd Avenue and Indian School Road.  After the officer made contact with the driver, the driver put the vehicle in gear and sped away westbound on Indian School Road. 

 

The officer followed the vehicle, but stopped following it after it ran a red light.  At the SR 101 and Indian School, the Tahoe collided with a concrete barrier and then a light pole. The driver and one passenger were killed at the scene.  The other two passengers were taken to a local hospital with serious injuries.

 

This investigation involving this single vehicle collision is on-going.
